Today Jasmine fulfilled her Augest mission which was to master piano notes. About a month ago, I asked her to practice piano focusing on scales and notes and I told her that if she could reach to a level that she can grab a song's note and start playing - though with some reasonable amount of mistake - I'll buy her anything she wants. She asked for a TV. Today she showed how good she has become and made me so happy.

Of course I should mention that I pushed her toward this a lot. Even today, I encouraged her to examine her new-earned skill in reading more complex notes. At first she was really worried and disappointed, but after about an hour she jumped on me, kissed me and thanked me for the encouragement. Now she can easily claim her new TV.

The best book

What is the best book?

According to Rose, that is if she could talk, the best book is one with interesting pictures, preferably a lot of birds with tasty pages. Since a few days ago, she has started nibbling on some of her favorite books. That's new. We usually buy her these special books for babies with tick pages that are hard to tear( even for a grown-up : I haven't tried though!). So after sometimes, as destructive as babies are, she has found a way to show her appreciation for some of her favorite books.

I am innocent, but the name of this optometrist was weird. I struggled so much before taking the picture. Posted by Hello

Unknown facts

I thought I knew everything about Islam prophet Mohammed. Today, I read in a book that he loved cats so much. Once he cut off his sleeve before standing because a kitty was resting on it and he didn't want to disturb it while sleeping.

Arian

The Arian music band is going to release their third album. God bless them as they're really cool. Today I was listening to their second album "Va Amma Eshgh". It's so refreshing and energetic. I hope they concert in Toronto soon.

Reat-Gay!

I'm reading a book about a cartoonist. In there I found something really interesting. In Iran, I had seen people suddenly start babling in a strange language with a lot of 'z' sound in it. It even has a name ( Zargari). It's not a language really. You simply mix the real words with a lot of 'z's. I guess the main purpose of it is to say something secret to your friend in presense of the others.

As someone who has studied English from different angles, it was very interesting to find something like that in a cartoon. I guess the rule is to take the first letter and concatinate it to the end of the word with 'ay'. So the title of this post is Great!

Let's see what's that!

Quite often, I sat with Jasmine to teach her how to use a computer, surf the net or search for stuff. In one of our recent sessions, I was checking Yahoo! mails and there is this ad in many of yahoo's pages, about the company's dating service I guess. It says "I am a man, looking for a woman". The words man and woman are in drop-down lists so I think you can change it to other ( three ??) cases. Anyway, she read the sentence and this is what she said:"Let's see what's that!" . Lately, she puts us more and more in situations I am not quite prepared for. Thanks to many bachelor friends around us, I told her that this is for grown-ups like this and that who want to find a suitable partner for themselves and not us!

Taxi

Today, we took a long walk to a nearby bookstore. I had promised Jasmine that upon finishing the first 5 books of a series, I'll buy her the rest. For the love of this, she walked all the way with me and Rose on her stroller. On the way back, she asked me to take a cab, which I refused. Then I noticed her slightly raising her hand to taxi cars passing by and slowly calling 'taxi' to each one passing.
